Recreated in an enormous 1/48 scale, the completed model stands approximately 38cm tall, towering over standard High Grade and Master Grade Gunpla kits. Its sheer size allows the RX-78-2’s classic armour design, mechanical details and instantly recognisable colour scheme to make an incredible impact on display.
Despite its impressive scale, the Mega Size Model range is designed to provide an accessible and enjoyable building experience. The approximately 220 colour-moulded parts use Bandai’s snap-fit construction, so glue is not required. The large components and simplified assembly system make this a satisfying project for newer builders while still offering experienced Gunpla fans an outstanding base for panel lining, detailing, painting and customisation.
Once assembled, the RX-78-2 features articulated joints that allow it to be displayed in a variety of classic poses. Its iconic equipment includes a beam rifle, shield and two beam sabers, giving you everything needed to recreate the legendary Earth Federation Mobile Suit.
